Day 7 of #marchmeetthemaker, today is about 'Combi

Day 7 of #marchmeetthemaker, today is about 'Combinations'....so pretty open-ended topic.

I chose to share my watercolor palette to share what colors I typically use in combination with ink pen drawings.

My favorite colors are Payne's Grey, Quinacridone Deep Gold, Bloodstone Genuine, and Cobalt Violet. They feature pretty heavily in my paintings 🖌️

March Meet the Maker : March 6th "Tasks"
Many tasks fall under the umbrella of Freelance Artist, some of those being: writing blog posts, writing monthly newsletters, maintaining my website, researching subjects for upcoming projects, bookkeeping, and social media managing. My least favorite part of this is just the fact that it’s a lot for someone who enjoys the creative aspects of a freelance life, not so much the bookkeeping and worrying about social media algorithms. Along with being an artist, I’m also a mother, wife, telecom designer, and dog wrangler. I don’t enjoy devoting 8 hours to my day job when I’d rather be drawing, but it allows me to experiment and take risks in my artistic career path in the other hours of my day, even if this does mean many late nights when I’d rather be sleeping!
